First Round of Surveys & New Art

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to do a quick update to tell you all that the first round of surveys have gone out through Backerkit. Once you verify your pledge, you can add any additional items to your order, including figures, any of the books, the two-sided map or even the Flibby plushy.

The rest of the surveys will go out in waves over the next few days. So, if you don't get your survey by next week, please let us know.

Below is a new piece of art that just came in from the artists for the Caltoran race. It looks pretty rad. Is everyone excited about building new races? Cause we're looking forward to seeing all of the new characters that you come up with.

This weekend Destiny Horizons will have a booth at Dice Tower West in Las Vegas. If you're attending, please come by and say hi. You can take a look at the Destiny Aurora deck building game we just finished or play a round of the Destiny Aurora Board game.

First Look - Kraysorian

Hello, Destiny Aurora fans. While we are getting the Backerkit page ready for surveys, I just wanted to reach out and give you a quick update. Firstly, I just hired an editor and sent her the the manuscript for the 4th novel: Rovanna Lost. She said it would take about 6 weeks, then it will go to the proofreader for another 2 weeks. So, within 2 months, the next novel will be completed. I did end the last one in a cliffhanger, so it won't be long now before readers find out what happened to Rovanna.

All of the writing for the RPG has now been completed. Kim and Blaine have been great at pumping out quality work. The next step is the artwork, which will take a bit more time. I wanted to share the race stretch goal art with you. 

 Over and above the stretch goals (because you're all awesome fans), we have added an additional section to the RPG with new archetypes and themes. The list is below. If you have any suggestions for more, we definitely want to hear them.

It's Official. You're Awesome! Destiny Aurora Campaign Ends with a BANG

In the final hours of the campaign, watchers came out of the woodwork to bring us to an amazing ending. Though we didn't quite hit that final stretch goal, we got so close I'm going to pretend that we did reach it.  So for your continued and unwavering support, I'm going to include this section in everyone's book. Besides, I'm really looking forward to seeing what all of you create. 

 Now, the real work begins. Kim and Blaine will begin writing the stretch goal sections and the artists are in full swing of creating the additional art. Then everything has to go back for Indesign layout and finally go to print. I'm still currently working on the 4th novel. I should complete my edit in a couple of weeks, then it will go to the editor, then to the proof reader and then print. 

Both items should take a few months before they get sent to the printer, but I'll keep everyone apprised and I'll send new artwork as it comes in. Believe me, I want to get this into your hands as soon as possible.

We will be sending surveys through Backerkit and I will inform you over the next few weeks when that launches. After surveys are complete, for those of you who ordered miniatures or board games, we'll be shipped those immediately. If you would like to add items to your pledge, you'll be free to do so when you complete your survey.

The Glykwiis are Free - Another Stretch Goal Unlocked

Wow, what an incredible day we had today. We did have some fluctuation right when we unlocked the latest stretch goal, and it didn't remain unlocked long. But then we pushed ahead, and now the Glykwiis are free.  YAY!!

Get ready for some mischief if you decide to visit Reynia and maybe celebrate with Flibby's family during Gentorian Day.

We're really excited about this next stretch goal and at this moment we're less than $2,000 from achieving it. I had a conversation with the writers, Kim and Blaine, about the possibility of melding different races together. I thought this was important for Destiny Aurora, as readers of the novels and comics are well-aware, Rovanna Zoor is a Human/Kraysorian hybrid. She was born with a birth defect, however, and the DNA of the two species did not mix. They instead split her down the middle. You can make your character look any way you would like. You may decide to build a Dracaanian/Vesk or a Lashunta/Boorlan. It opens up a great many possibilities, limited only by your imagination. We're going to start figuring out how to take attributes from each race and create the rules for melding them together.

Thank you all again for making this campaign successful. Let's push for the final hours and open up that stretch goal.

36 Hours to Go and Let's Unlock Some Glykwii

Hello, Destiny Aurora & Starfinder fans,

We jumped up last night and now we're on the precipice of unlocking the next stretch goal with only 36 hours to go. I want to thank all of you who have stuck with the campaign and are helping to make it successful. I'm pretty certain that we can unlock that next stretch goal in these final hours and perhaps even get to the next. 

At the end of February (which is also my birthday) I'm going to be at Dice Tower West. So, if you're planning on being there - please stop by. I'll have copies of the prototype book for you to check out and we'll be play testing my new Destiny Aurora area of control deck builder game.

So, let's hit that next stretch goal and add Glykwiis to our creature section.
