Backerkit, Progress & Final Week

If you have all been watching the campaign, you'll know that we've had a rough couple of weeks. We've gone and up and down continuously. Not sure what else has hit the market, but it's definitely made this campaign an emotional roller coaster for me. Now that we have hit our final week, I'm hoping all of the watchers who wait until the final 48 hours will jump on board and help unlock some more of the stretch goals for us. 

New Scenario

I've had the artists working on the Kraysorian race, and Kim Frandsen has been writing the new scenario. It's going to be exciting with some mystery and surprises as your crew infiltrates a Dregg facility where things have gone completely wrong. Each faction has their own agenda and you'll be going up against them as well. Although, sometimes when faced with a monstrous creature, your enemies quickly become your friends, at least momentarily. 

 Backer Kit & The Future

We will be using Backer Kit for surveys and Destiny Aurora will be featured in the newsletter tomorrow, the 22nd. Surveys will be going out approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the campaign ends. Once surveys are in, we'll immediately be shipping the board games and minis. So, if you've ordered those, you'll be receiving them pretty quickly.

We are currently working on an expansion for the board game that will include additional miniatures. So stay tuned for that. I am still hoping to hit that $18k goal as I want to include a section where you can meld two different races together. That would be a unique element, as the current Starfinder rules do not include anything in that realm. Wouldn't be fun to have a Boorlan Lashunta with one horn and one antenna or both? Or even a Vesk Ikarrian, giving him or her nano wings? The possibilities are  endless and you can make your character any way you want - based on your imagination.  So, let's hit that $18k goal. With 5 days left, help us get the word out.

New Scenario Stretch Goal Unlocked

Thanks to all of you, the book keeps expanding. We've unlocked another stretch goal. Now there will be a whole new scenario to play through. This scenario will involve the Dreggs and their thirst for mayhem, not to mention a deadly creature, called a Lava Ganik. One of their experiments has escaped and both the Renegades and Coalition have been tasked with getting a sample. However, that experiment is far from dead and dealing with it will put your crew in mortal danger, not only from it, but from the other factions as well. There's also a malfunctioning security system to deal with. A military satellite is randomly bombarding the planet. Some days it's just better to stay in bed. 

We're on our way to the next Stretch Goal, a new creature called a Glykwii. For fans of the Destiny Aurora novels, the Glykwiis are indigenous to Reynia as well as few other worlds. They are fairy-like, but love to cause all sorts of trouble. Take it from Flibby - she's not a fan.

First Stretch Goal Unlocked!

I hope everyone had a great weekend...since all of you are so AMAZING! We're so excited to have all of you with us on this awesome journey. We've not only have hit the 100 donor landmark, but we've unlocked the first stretch goal as well.

As you can see from the videos, I had the test books done with hard covers and I'm so glad the final books will now have hard covers as well. It's hard to believe how much more expensive it is print with hard covers, but through your support and passion for Destiny Aurora, we will now be including them on every book. So, get excited and on to the next stretch goal.

I'm so certain that we're going to hit this goal that I'm going to start on the getting the art prepped. I really wanted to include this species in the book, but the only art I had was of Rovanna, who is literally half human (readers of the books and comics will know what I mean). Now we get to see her race, which also appears in the 4th, upcoming book after the cliffhanger we left everyone with.

2nd Stretch Goal Unlocked - Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope everyone had an relaxing and/or exciting holiday season. 2020 promises to be amazing. 

Your perpetual belief and support in Destiny Aurora has lead us to unlocking our second stretch goal. We will now be adding a new race to the book - Kraysorian. They are a diplomatic race, but if they're trained how to fight, then watch out, because they can be as swift as they are deadly. They may be a little on the quiet side, but don't let that fool you, because they can be some of the best planners and tacticians you'll have on your crew.  They are both aquatic and land-dwelling, but they do need to moisturize their scales a couple of times per day. The artwork is currently being prepped.

We're so excited to continue growing this book. We're already proud of the way it's turned out and with your support it keeps getting better. For the next stretch goal we'll be adding a new scenario. The scenario goal changes depending on which faction you are. Renegades go where the money is, the Coalition stops violence on innocents and deals justice, while the Dreggs just like to cause chaos - the more destruction, the better.

We Did It!

What a crazy and amazing day we had today. We not only met the goal on the first day, but surpassed it - on our way to the first stretch goal. Isn't that awesome!

So here's where we need your help to get you the free stuff in the way of stretch goals. Share the Kickstarter page with groups you belong to and other social media you think is filled with fans that might love Destiny Aurora as much as we do. Also please contact me with sites and blogs where we might sponsor and advertise to get the word out. You can either PM me or leave a comment, I will see both.
